Scam Sites are at Large in GTP (Get Paid To) sites. We Will be Taken for a ride if we are not careful about these sites. In fact when it comes to PTC sites, More than 95% og them are scam sites. So here is a quick guide for you so as to avoid getting into scam sites & loosing your money & time. (Also look for the scam list below)
Sustainability of a site
This is a major factor in determining a site. This requires some research & checks.
A site is sustainable means this site or the programme can stay for long. Unsustainable programs will stay only for a short period of time, from a few days to a few months. Such sites usually will not survive for more than 4- 6 months, or will turn to bux.to schemes i.e., long payment delays, high cash out limitations, ref limitations, terminates account without any reason etc
Hugely unsustainable sites are un doubtly scams.
Sites paying huge & astonishing figures, say $10 or $ 100 per click, are unquestionably scams. If this was the case then almost all the people will leave their hard working jobs & will sit & read emails all the day, but unfortunately this is not the case
For example a PTC that pays 1$ per click very tempting, however it’s nothing more than a big scam. If you still can’t believe it , what you can do is join such a site & you will come to know it by experience within a month or so.
Ways To check the sustainability of a site
You need to check out the rate per click for a free member including the ref click rates. Then check the rates per 1000 clicks for advertisers.
Here’s a simple calculation
User per click rate + Referral per click = the amount of money site pays to its members.
Site earnings = Revenues from advertisers - The amount of money site pays to its members.
Example 1: site A
Site pays $0.0025 per click and $0.001 per referral click.
Money site pays to its members is: $0.0035 per click (or $3.5/1000 clicks)
Charges: $0.005 per click (or $5/1000 clicks)
Site earnings =$1.5/1000 clicks
Site is sustainable.
Example 2: Site B
This site is paying $0.01 per click and $0.005 per referral click.
Money the site pays to its members : $0.015 per click (or $15/1000 clicks)
Charged: $0.005 per click (or $5/1000 clicks)
Site earnings =-$(-)10/1000 clicks
The Site is unsustainable
The Main Point here is if a sites earning is less than its payment no matter how many advertisers it will have, still the site will become a scam.
A site earns on premium memberships and referral packs sales. So if the difference is minute then it can be at times considered a safe site. A PTC can have and some banner/text ads, but this is not enough.
Unsustainable programmes are ponzi schemes & they will mostly be selling bot referrals (robots). These bots(software used to click ads automatically) will click some ads & then stops after that. So in order to survive, the sites use this. Hence you wont be getting back the money invested.
It is not recommended to invest in any sites until the site has a genuine & long track record.
>>Self sponsored ads
Sometimes a site may be unsustainable, even if the advertising rates are greater than the amount of money site is paying to its members. If you have a look at the "surf ads" page and find that self sponsored ads are the majority of ads, or even worse all ads, then site is unsustainable
Example: bux.to
Site pays $20 per 1000 clicks and charges $19.10/1000 clicks. You'll say: "site loses only $0.90, seems to be ok (although it is not, site still loses money)". But if you have a look at the surf ads page, you'll see that there are more than 8 self sponsored ads. It is very unsustainable, that's why sells only bot referrals and has more than 6 months payment delays.
How can I find if an ad is self sponsored?
Usually, self sponsored ads are other GPT (Get Paid To) sites with the ref link of the owner. If you see 4-5 ads with the same ref link (and also a huge number of total clicks), then all these ads are self sponsored. To check the source, if you are using Mozilla Fire fox hit “ctrl + u” & you can see the link in new window.
>>Long payment delays
In some sites, their T&C will be given that the payments will be made within 30 – 60 Business working days (i.e., excluding weekends). In short it will take at least more than 80 days(around 3 months) for the payments to be received.
This will be mainly due to lack of funds & the site will be a scam soon.
>>Upgrade /Ref prices
Sites that have very low prices cannot afford the higher rates/ref clicks. If a site charges less than $30-35 for one year of premium membership or less than $0.80-$0.90 per referral (purchase) is unsustainable. But this does not mean, that a site with "normal" prices cannot be a scam.
>>Search Google
Before you register a new account in a PTC site do a Google search about the site. Add Scam After the name of the site. Eg. Rich PTC Scam
>>Read Terms & Condition
Read carefully the T&C as you may probably find some major information.; It tells you id the site pays or simply exchange for ads & if the site is serviceable in your country. Also try read the FAQ section. You may find useful information even there
>>Never invest money in PTC sites:
It is advisable not to invest in a site, especially PTC sites. If you have invested & if the site turned into a scam after a while, then you will lose the money you invested. Be patient and also be an active clicker. After three to six months you will have enough money to buy referrals can recognize between genuine & scam sites.
>>Protect your PC
Try Using Mozilla Firefox with AdBlock Plus and No Script. Clear all cookies while logging out from a site. as usual there has to be an anti virus & anti pyware installed.
>>Try not to use the same password Everywhere
Some Spammers may Steal your personal information or even the money which you accumulated. It is Highly Recommended to use a UNIQUE password for Paypal or Alertpay.
>>Buying Referrals
If you Plan to buy 1000 referrals, than don’t buy then from one single site, instead buy 250 each from $ different sites. This will reduce your impact if the site is selling Bots.
>>Blind Clicking
>>Don't spam.
No one likes spam. Especially PTC sites. That's why they ban spammers from their sites. But why PTC owners have strict policy about spammers? Because sometimes users who receive spam mails (e.g here is an excellent site... and a ref link) are reporting to the providers/hosts the sites and as a result the domain of the site is suspended.
>>Personal Information
Never share Personal Information like address, DOB, Phone number With GPT sites as they don’t need all these & will be mostly scam sites. Hence avoid joining such sites
>>Forums.
You will get to know about the sites from the Forum if it pays or not, complaints etc will give you a picture about the site
Sits To Avoid Joining
>>with free host/free domains.
It if an owner can't spend enough money to get a better host and owned .com/.net domain, then how can he pay his members?. so better not to join those sites
>>with default design.
Try to avoid sites with same design, until its not a sister site.
>> without forums/support. No Forum means admin does not care to care about his members. This doesn’t mean that sites with forum are not scams.
>>with "instant" payments.
These are just a fake promise. Invest to get paid instantly? The answer is "Never”. Don't believe these announcements. .
>>with default description/T&C/FAQ. Scripts also include and a default description/TOS and FAQ. Some sites for example are paying $0.005 per ref click, but in the TOS you may find that are "paying" $0.01/ref click!
If a site does not edit the T&C/FAQ at all, this is proof of a lazy admin who Just does note care about his site and probably might not have any intention to pay.
>>with limitations.
Such as cash out, referral limits etc.
Scammers Script at the time of Payout
>>You have to invest first if you want to receive your payment
>>Site hacked and database damaged.
>>Alertpay/Paypal blocked our account. We lost money too.
>> Moving to a new server/under maintenance/upgrading script, coming back soon.
>> Admin is through a tough time in his life (or even better admin is dead).
Admin is very busy
Admin has exams/college.
Admin is on holiday.
Admin doesn't have the time to run anymore the site
...that's why site is for sale or site has to close down!
>> Site is under heavy DDoS attacks and DDoS protection is very expensive for us.
>> You must upload an ID copy and a copy of a utility bill if you want to receive payment
